The F1 circus heads to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the Spanish Grand Prix this weekend from May 30 to June 1. McLaren has achieved victory in six out of the first seven races of the season, but Spain presents an opportunity to alter the competitive landscape due to a new rule change coming into effect.
Additionally, the F2 support series will run concurrently with the F1 events, while Formula E will hold the Shanghai E-Prix double-header in China. Below is your complete guide on when and where to watch the action from India:
2025 F1 Spanish GP Schedule
Lando Norris’ recent victory at the Monaco GP has heightened the championship battle, now just three points separating him from his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri. McLaren has shown clear dominance so far, with Red Bull occasionally displaying strong performance. However, the Spanish GP could be a turning point in the season due to the implementation of more stringent tests on front wing flexing.
According to the new regulations, the allowed deflection under static load will be reduced from 15mm to 10mm. Earlier this year, Ferrari’s team principal Frederic Vasseur mentioned this rule change as a potential “gamechanger” for the competitive order.

Kush Maini made history at Monaco by becoming the first-ever Indian driver to win at the iconic street track. He achieved a sixth position finish in the Feature Race, marking his best points haul of the season and boosting him from 17th to 12th in the standings. This success has given Maini a critical confidence lift after a challenging start to the year.
“It feels like this is the start of our season, and as we head straight to Barcelona, we’ll aim to keep this momentum going as we build on these results,” said Maini. Luke Browning currently leads the championship standings, just three points ahead of Alexander Dunne.

2025 Formula E Shanghai E-Prix Schedule

Shanghai will host another double-header for the Formula E series. The first race will include mandatory Pit Boosts, compelling drivers to pit for a 10 percent battery recharge. However, Sunday’s race will lack the Pit Boost feature, resulting in two markedly different racing strategies and competitive dynamics.
Oliver Rowland from Nissan currently leads the championship, boasting a significant 77-point advantage over Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein. Nissan also stands atop the teams’ championship, 15 points ahead of Porsche. Indian team Mahindra Racing is currently ranked third overall, trailing Porsche by 58 points.
