Kawasaki has introduced the latest iteration of the Z900 naked bike at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.52 lakh in India. The 2025 model has received significant upgrades, including fresh styling, enhanced electronics, and compliance with Euro5+ regulations.

  1. Upgraded Electronics and Cycle Parts: The Z900 features enhancements in its electronic systems and chassis components.
  2. Engine and Frame: The engine and main frame are carried over from the previous model.
  3. Price Increase: The new model is now priced Rs 14,000 higher and is offered in two color schemes.

Updated Display and Design

Modern Styling and Enhanced Electronics

The core elements of the Z900 remain consistent, retaining the smooth 948cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 125hp and 98.6Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed gearbox. However, the bike features an all-new styling that includes a headlight design reminiscent of the smaller Z500.

Significant updates include a new 5-inch TFT display that is Bluetooth-compatible, along with revised switchgear adapted from the Ninja 1100SX. The bike now benefits from a ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, and a bidirectional quickshifter. A 5-axis IMU has been added to enhance the range of riding aids available, such as power modes, riding modes, traction control, and dual-channel ABS.

Chassis components have also seen notable improvements, particularly in the braking and tire systems. The Z900 now features radially-mounted 4-piston Nissin calipers paired with dual 300mm discs at the front, replacing the previous axial calipers. The tires have transitioned from the Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 to the new Dunlop Sportmax Q5A, promising a substantial boost in performance while maintaining the same tire sizes.

Kawasaki Z900 Price Comparison

At a price point of Rs 9.52 lakh, the Kawasaki Z900 positions itself against competitors such as the Honda CB650R (priced between Rs 9.20 lakh and Rs 9.60 lakh), the Triumph Street Triple R (selling for Rs 10.17 lakh to Rs 10.43 lakh), and the Ducati Monster (available at Rs 12.95 lakh). The Z900 is offered in two color options: black/green and black/red.

All prices are ex-showroom, India.
