Honda has unveiled the Rebel 500, equipped with the same 471cc parallel-twin engine found in the NX500. Below are the key differences between these two models.
Honda Rebel 500 vs NX500: Ergonomics and Style
The Rebel 500 showcases a low-slung, bobber-inspired design, featuring a dark aesthetic and a minimalist look. True to its bobber nature, it is equipped with a relaxed riding posture, characterized by a pulled-back handlebar and a seat height of 690mm. In contrast, the NX500 presents a more substantial stance with a taller seat height of 830mm, promoting an upright seating position that enhances comfort during long rides.
Honda Rebel 500 vs NX500: Weight and Dimensions
The NX500 tips the scales at 196kg, slightly heavier than the Rebel 500 at 191kg. However, this weight difference is marginal, with the NX500 carrying an additional 6.3 liters of fuel, contributing nearly all of the weight increase.
Both motorcycles share identical brake setups with the same disc diameter at the front and rear. Nevertheless, they differ in tire specifications. The Rebel 500 is fitted with a distinctive 16-inch wheel arrangement both front and rear, featuring a robust 130-section front tire and a 150-section rear tire. Conversely, the NX500 utilizes a more road-oriented 19/17-inch setup with a 110-section front tire and a 160-section rear.
Honda Rebel 500 vs NX500: Features

Both models come standard with all-LED lighting. However, the NX500 offers a few more advanced features, including a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity and traction control. The Rebel 500, on the other hand, includes an LCD display alongside dual-channel ABS.
Honda Rebel 500 vs NX500: Price and Colours

The Rebel 500 is priced at Rs 5.12 lakh and is available in a singular matte black option, undercutting the NX500 by Rs 78,000. It is accessible exclusively at BigWing Topline dealerships located in Bengaluru, Gurugram, and Mumbai. In contrast, the NX500 is priced at Rs 5.90 lakh and comes in three color choices. While both motorcycles feature the same engine, the NX500 includes superior equipment and is sold at BigWing dealers nationwide.
