The Tata Altroz has undergone a significant mid-lifecycle update, featuring a refreshed design, an upscale interior, and additional powertrain options. This marks the first major enhancement for the hatchback since its debut in 2020. Tata Motors has taken this opportunity to rebrand the Altroz variants, making it available in five trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S. In this article, we will delve into the distinctive features and powertrain choices for each variant.

The Altroz facelift retains the engine options from its predecessor, including the 86hp, 1.2-litre petrol, 74hp, 1.2-litre CNG, and 90hp, 1.5-litre diesel engines. A notable addition is the new 5-speed AMT gearbox paired with the petrol engine, complementing the previously available 6-speed DCT gearbox. All three engines come with a standard 5-speed manual transmission; however, the diesel and CNG options do not provide automatic transmissions, although an AMT option is offered in the more budget-friendly Tiago CNG.
The Altroz distinguishes itself as the sole hatchback in India offering a diesel engine across three trims. However, the 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which was available in the Racer variant, is not being sold at this time. It is also noteworthy that the top-tier Accomplished+ S trim is exclusively available with the turbo-petrol DCT configuration.
