As consumer interest peaks, waiting periods for both models have notably increased, despite Mahindra’s efforts to ramp up production. As of May, the delivery times for the XUV 3XO and XUV700 have reportedly doubled for most variants compared to March’s waiting periods.

For those interested in the petrol-powered MX2 and MX2 Pro variants, the wait is up to three months, while the mid-spec petrol MXM3, MX3 Pro, AX5, and AX5 L possess waiting times stretching up to two months. The top-spec petrol AX7 and AX7 L variants, in addition to all diesel options, have a delivery timeline of up to one month. This signifies a notable doubling of wait times since March 2025.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO competes in the market against the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Skoda Kylaq. It is offered with various engine options including a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol generating 111hp, a more powerful 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol providing 131hp, and a 1.5-litre diesel delivering 117hp—each available with an automatic transmission. In comparison to the two-week wait times recorded in March, the Mahindra XUV700 now experiences delivery periods of up to one month for most variants, regardless of fuel type. Notably, the top-tier XUV700 AX7 L maintains a waiting period of one month, while variants featuring ESP, a 6-seat arrangement, and dual-tone exterior design currently lack a specified delivery timeframe.

Recently, Mahindra introduced the XUV700 Ebony edition, confirming this will be the final update for its flagship internal combustion engine SUV. Competing with the MG Hector, Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Harrier, and Tata Safari, the XUV700 is equipped with a 200hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, alongside a 2.2-litre diesel engine available in 155hp and 185hp variants, both with manual and automatic transmission options. The price range of the XUV700 currently spans from Rs 14.49 lakh to Rs 25.14 lakh.
