
We have gathered the sales figures for the six leading two-wheeler manufacturers in India. Here’s an overview of their performance.
Hero: 4,88,997 units
Following a slow sales month in April 2025, Hero Motocorp has reclaimed its top position with considerable momentum, achieving a remarkable 69 percent growth compared to last month. However, its Year-on-Year (YoY) growth is a modest 1.99 percent. The company’s electric division, VIDA, is anticipated to unveil a new, cost-effective model, the Vida VX2, on July 1.
Honda: 4,17,256 units
Honda has returned to the second spot, although it recorded a decrease of 1.34 percent in sales compared to last month. In terms of YoY performance, Honda faced a decline of 7 percent.
Recently, Honda expanded its BigWing lineup with several new launches, including models like the Rebel 500, X-ADV, CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet, and the Goldwing 50th Anniversary Edition. Furthermore, the E-Clutch variants of the CB650R and CBR650R are now available in India. Honda also announced plans to enhance production capacities by adding a new line in its Vithalapur facility.
TVS: 3,09,287 units
TVS continues to trail behind Hero and Honda in sales for May 2025, recording over 3.09 lakh units sold. This reflects a decrease of 4.44 percent compared to the previous month, while YoY growth stands at 14.07 percent.
The company is preparing to launch a new 150cc NTorq and has introduced a revamped version of the Jupiter 125. It’s important to mention that these figures do not include sales for the iQube, currently one of the most popular electric two-wheelers in the country.
Bajaj: 1,91,412 units
Bajaj’s sales exceeded 1.91 lakh units in May 2025, with a slight increase of 1.48 percent month-over-month. Year-on-Year growth for Bajaj is equally modest at 1.63 percent. These figures include sales from the Chetak series, which is among the best-selling electric scooters in India.
Recently, Bajaj has been reported to be developing a more affordable version of the Chetak, expected to provide an upgrade over the existing model.
Suzuki: 1,07,780 units
Suzuki has surpassed the 1 lakh mark in sales for May 2025, showcasing a growth of over 13 percent over the previous month and a YoY increase of 17 percent.
Last month, Suzuki launched an OBD-2B compliant variant of the Avenis. Additionally, a new high-spec version of the Access featuring a TFT display has also been introduced.
Royal Enfield: 75,820 units
Royal Enfield dispatched over 75,000 units, reflecting a minor decrease of 0.24 percent month-on-month. However, its YoY growth is impressive at 19.34 percent.
Recently, it has been reported that Royal Enfield may source its upcoming 250cc hybrid engine from CFMoto.
