Classic Legends to launch 4 new models in FY26

Classic Legends, the parent company overseeing Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA motorcycles, has ambitious plans for FY26, including the introduction of four new models, expansion into seven additional export markets, and a goal to double its sales. This announcement was made by Co-Founder Anupam Thareja during a recent media interaction.

Expansion Plans for Classic Legends

  1. Increasing Dealer Network: Classic Legends aims to grow its dealer network from 350 to 500 outlets.
  2. Development of a New Platform: The company is also developing a 450cc engine platform.

Improving Current Offerings

Current Model Lineup

Classic Legends presently has eight models across its three brand segments. Recently, Yezdi introduced the 2025 Adventure, priced between Rs 2.15 lakh and Rs 2.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Thareja indicated that while a new engine is in development for the mid-weight motorcycle segment, the company may delay its launch. Instead, the focus remains on enhancing existing engine platforms.

“I’m honestly sick and tired of the CC game. What really matters is how the bike rides and performs in real-world conditions. Our engines are robust. We are currently refining aspects like sprockets, gear ratios, handling, and suspension—all elements that contribute to an exhilarating ride,” he remarked. “We’re sharpening our existing offerings to deliver enhanced value and versatility.”

Thareja emphasized that Classic Legends intends to strengthen its existing product lineup—roadsters, adventure tourers, and classic motorcycles—rather than exploring completely new segments. “We need to do justice to what we already have. We’re becoming more focused with our positioning, pricing, and product offerings,” he explained.

Currently, Classic Legends markets three models under the Yezdi brand, including the Roadster, Scrambler, and Adventure, alongside five models for the Jawa brand and two for BSA. Despite a rich brand legacy, the company has faced obstacles in the middleweight motorcycle segment, such as concerns over product quality, after-sales service, and challenges stemming from the global pandemic. Nevertheless, BSA is gearing up to launch a new scrambler variant powered by the same single-cylinder, 650cc engine that drives the Goldstar model.
