Orbiter Name Likely for Entry-Level TVS Electric Scooter
Estimated Pricing Around the Rs 1 Lakh Range
While TVS offers a wide range of models in its iQube electric scooter series, the company recognizes the need for an entry-level option. Currently, the iQube’s pricing begins slightly above Rs 1 lakh for the base 2.2kWh variant and reaches Rs 1.59 lakh for the top-tier ST 5.1kWh version.
The Orbiter is projected to serve as the entry-level gateway into TVS’s electric scooter collection, likely priced around Rs 1 lakh or even lower. Although specific design and technical details about the Orbiter remain limited, it is expected to follow the iQube’s lead, utilizing a hub-mounted motor sourced from Bosch, while featuring a straightforward design aimed at keeping costs manageable. Its launch is anticipated in India during the festive period, if not slightly earlier, to gain traction in the market.

According to our sources, the Orbiter name is currently the preferred choice for this entry-level TVS electric vehicle, but it has not yet been officially confirmed. The final naming decision is typically made closer to the launch date.
In addition to the Orbiter, TVS has also filed trademark applications for other potential names, such as ‘EV-one’ and simply ‘O’, leaving open the possibility that they may utilize these alternatives. Stay tuned for further updates regarding this exciting development.
