Minimal Competition in the Market

The CB750 Hornet stands out in the market due to its unique positioning as the roadster version of the XL750 Transalp. Its impressive engine specifications provide a thrilling ride for enthusiasts.

The suspension system employs a 41mm Showa telescopic fork in the front and a monoshock in the rear, ensuring a comfortable ride. For stopping power, it features twin 296mm discs with radially mounted calipers in the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. The bike is fitted with 17-inch wheels and Michelin Road 6 tyres, measuring 120 at the front and 160 at the rear.

With a full 15.2-liter fuel tank, the CB750 Hornet weighs in at 192kg. The seat height is a manageable 795mm, while the ground clearance of 140mm may require a bit of caution when navigating uneven surfaces.

In terms of features, the Hornet is exceptionally well-equipped. It includes traction control, four riding modes (Sport, Standard, Rain, and User), a slipper clutch, and a TFT display akin to the one found in the Transalp. A bidirectional quickshifter is available as an accessory.

At a price point of Rs 8.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the Hornet occupies a distinctive niche. Its main competitor is Honda’s own CB650R, which, although equipped with a smaller 650cc engine, is currently the only model in its category that offers a four-cylinder engine.
