Price Comparison with CB750 Hornet
Just a day after revealing plans for its launch, Honda has officially made the CB1000 Hornet available in India, featuring the high-spec SP variant. This new model boasts a powerful 999cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine that generates 157hp at 11,000rpm and 107Nm at 9,000rpm, combined with a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter for smooth gear transitions.
The bike’s suspension system incorporates a Showa USD fork at the front and an Ohlins monoshock at the rear. For braking performance, it employs twin 310mm discs paired with radially mounted Brembo Stylema calipers in the front and a single 240mm disc in the rear.

The CB1000 Hornet SP features the same 5.0-inch TFT display as found in the CB750 Hornet, complete with smartphone connectivity options for music, navigation, and call notifications. Safety features are comprehensive, including five riding modes (Sport, Standard, Rain, and two custom modes) along with three levels of traction control.
Available at Rs 12.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), the only real competitor for the Honda CB1000 Hornet is the Suzuki Katana, priced at Rs 13.61 lakh. However, it also competes closely with several middleweight options, such as the Triumph Street Triple RS at Rs 12.07 lakh, and offers a more affordable alternative to the Ducati Monster SP at Rs 15.95 lakh. The CB1000 Hornet will be exclusively available through Honda’s BigWing Topline dealer network in India, with deliveries scheduled to commence in June.
