Honda CB750 Hornet Launch Details
Pricing Expected to Be Similar to the CB650R
The CB750 Hornet is designed to be the street-friendly counterpart to the XL750 Transalp ADV available in India. Both models share a robust 755cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 92hp at 9500rpm and 75Nm at 7250rpm. With such impressive performance specifications, the CB750 Hornet is set to carve out a unique space in the market, facing competition primarily from within Honda’s range, notably the inline-four CB650R naked bike.

The Hornet 750 comes well-equipped for its class, featuring four distinct riding modes (Sport, Standard, Rain, and User), a slip/assist clutch, switchable traction control, all-LED lighting, and a Bluetooth-compatible TFT display. Additionally, an accessory bidirectional quickshifter will be available for enhancing performance.
According to insider information, the CB750 Hornet will be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and is expected to be priced between Rs 8.80 lakh and Rs 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it close to the CB650R. Currently, there is a noticeable gap in the middleweight naked bike market within the 600-900cc segment in India, and the arrival of the CB750 Hornet helps fill this void, providing a competitive twin-cylinder option. While it may compete closely on paper with the Aprilia Tuono 660, the Tuono’s pricing at Rs 17.44 lakh (ex-showroom, India) places it in the same range as higher-capacity motorcycles.
