What’s New in the Hyundai Alcazar Corporate?

Previously, the Alcazar only featured a panoramic sunroof in its petrol variants starting from the Prestige trim. The diesel versions did not incorporate a panoramic sunroof for economic reasons, including maintaining parity with petrol pricing and enhancing fuel efficiency. By avoiding the sunroof, Hyundai managed to reduce the weight of the Alcazar diesel by approximately 50 kilograms, enabling it to achieve over 20 km/l, an important factor for diesel buyers.

Alcazar diesel now gets a panoramic sunroof with new Corporate trim.

However, the popularity of panoramic sunroofs among Indian buyers has influenced Hyundai’s decision, leading to the introduction of this feature in the new Corporate trim. This new variant fits between the existing Prestige and Platinum trims and comes with other premium features, including LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, six airbags, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).

Under the hood, the Alcazar diesel is powered by a 1.5-liter engine that generates 116 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, and the new Corporate trim is available with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

New Petrol-DCT Variant Launch

Additionally, Hyundai has launched the new Prestige petrol-DCT variant, which makes the 7-speed DCT gearbox more accessible by reducing its price by Rs 2.30 lakh. Previously, this gearbox was only available starting from the Platinum trim, priced from Rs 20.94 lakh. The DCT transmission is paired with the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, delivering 160 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque.
