Recent spy images suggest the refreshed Verna will closely resemble the current model from both the rear and sides. Although heavily camouflaged, some details indicate tail-lights that remain quite similar, along with the same 16-inch alloy wheels and a subtly modified rear bumper. The most noticeable changes are likely to be found at the front, as the current Verna has a bold nose that has stirred various opinions.

Interior changes are expected to be minimal, but the feature list and safety equipment may expand. The existing engine options—a 115hp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol—are likely to remain unchanged. The naturally aspirated engine comes with a CVT automatic option, while the turbocharged variant is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, both featuring a standard 6-speed manual transmission. With the facelift, the Verna’s price, previously ranging from Rs 11.07 lakh to 17.58 lakh, is expected to rise.

Hyundai’s response to the Tata Punch, as well as the entry-level variants of the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger, is expected to feature purely cosmetic changes with its facelift. Details about the refreshed Exter are limited, but improvements may include additional features, revamped upholstery, and enhanced safety provisions. The current model’s engine, a 1.2-litre unit producing 83hp on petrol and 69hp on CNG, is expected to continue alongside manual and AMT options for the petrol variant. The facelifted Exter will come with a higher price tag than the existing model’s price range of Rs 6.00 lakh to 10.51 lakh.

All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India.
