Kia Carens Clavis Exterior Design

Triple-pod LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels

The 2025 Clavis represents a facelift of the Carens, built on the K2 platform shared with the standard Kia models. A fresh light bar connects the inverted L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), while the triple-pod headlamps draw inspiration from the Kia EV5. Additionally, a faux-metal trim in silver adorns the chin of the bumper.

The profile maintains a silhouette similar to the Carens MPV, yet plastic cladding along the doors and wheel arches imparts an SUV-like appearance to the new model. The Clavis features larger 17-inch alloy wheels featuring a redesigned look, while the door handles forgo their chrome finish. At the rear, more pronounced LED tail-lights are joined by a brand-new light bar, along with enhancements such as a spoiler-mounted stop lamp and a faux metal trim on the revamped bumper.

Available in both six (with captain seats in the second row) and seven-seater configurations, the dashboard showcases a blue-and-beige theme complemented by twin 12.3-inch screens, one functioning as a touchscreen and the other as a multi-information driver display. Notably, the larger infotainment system included in the premium Clavis HTX trims does not support wireless integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the smaller 8-inch unit in lower trims does. A switchable touch-sensitive panel situated beneath the central air vents controls both media and climate functions. The front seats come with ventilation, but only the driver’s seat is electrically adjustable.

Additional features in the Carens include a wireless charging pad, an eight-speaker Bose sound system, an air purifier, a panoramic sunroof, various drive modes (eco, normal, sport), paddle shifters (exclusive to DCT), AC vents and USB ports for the second and third rows, a ‘Boss’ mode for the co-driver’s seat (similar to the Hyundai Alcazar), and a one-touch tumble-plus-fold function for the left-side seat in the second row.

Kia Carens Clavis Safety Features

Level 2 ADAS and 360-degree camera

The Carens Clavis is equipped with a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and a 360-degree camera setup, vital safety features that were absent in the standard Carens. Essential capabilities such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert proved to be invaluable during test drives. Furthermore, standard safety equipment includes six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), hill-start assistance, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and all-wheel disc brakes.
