Maruti Suzuki’s E Vitara was revealed at Auto Expo 2025 and will launch in March. The E Vitara is based on the eVX concept shown in 2023 and will come with two battery options. Toyota’s version, the Urban Cruiser EV, was also shown at the Expo and will be available later this year.

The Maruti E Vitara comes with two battery choices: a 49kWh and a 61kWh, both powered by advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate blade cells, similar to the ones BYD uses. The 49kWh battery produces 143hp, while the 61kWh battery gives a stronger 173hp. Both options deliver 192.5Nm of torque, making the car powerful and smooth to drive. While Maruti hasn’t shared the exact range yet, they promise the larger battery will go over 500km on a full charge.
To make owning an EV easier, Maruti plans to install fast chargers at dealerships in the top 100 cities. They’re also creating a special charging app and setting up more than 1,500 EV service centers in over 1,000 cities, so help is always close when you need it
