Maserati MC20 Cielo India Details
Price: Rs 5.31 Crore; roof folds down in 12 seconds

First unveiled three years ago, the MC20 Cielo is Maserati’s first convertible model following the discontinuation of the previous-generation GranCabrio in 2019. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 engine, just like the MC20 coupe, it delivers an impressive 630hp and 730Nm of torque. Maserati claims a 0-100 kph sprint time of approximately 3 seconds, which is just 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe, with a top speed exceeding 320 kph.

The slight decrease in acceleration is likely due to the extra weight added by the folding roof mechanism. Weighing in at 1,540kg, the Cielo is 65kg heavier than the MC20 coupe. Its glass roof, which measures 909mm long and 615mm wide, folds in just 12 seconds, distinguishing it from many competitors that typically use steel or fabric roofs. Aside from its convertible design, the Cielo maintains all the same features and accessories as the MC20, which was introduced at a price of Rs 3.69 crore back in 2023.
Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo India Details
Price: Rs 3.40 Crore; fabric roof lowers or raises in 14 seconds

The GranCabrio serves as the convertible version of the Maserati GranTurismo coupe and features a 2+2 seating layout. It is also powered by the 3.0-litre V6 engine, delivering 550hp and 650Nm of torque, the same as the GranTurismo Trofeo. This enables the GranCabrio to accelerate from 0-100 kph in a claimed 3.6 seconds, achieving a top speed of 316 kph.

The fabric soft-top can be lowered or raised in just 14 seconds, even while the car is moving at speeds up to 50 kph. Aside from the roof mechanism, the GranCabrio boasts the same extensive features, options, and accessories as the GranTurismo. The latter was introduced in India last year, with prices starting at Rs 2.72 crore for the GranTurismo Modena variant and Rs 2.90 crore for the top-spec Trofeo variant.
