Hyundai Verna SX+ trim launch India

The Hyundai Verna has introduced a new SX+ variant, priced at Rs 13.79 lakh for the manual transmission and Rs 15.04 lakh for the IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission) version. This updated trim incorporates numerous features from the higher-spec variants, enhancing the Verna’s overall appeal. Hyundai is also offering a wired-to-wireless adapter for selected variants of the mid-size sedan, allowing users to enjoy wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The adapter is available not only for the Verna but also for models like the Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Aura, Venue, Venue N Line, and Alcazar.

The new wired-to-wireless adapter is priced at Rs 4,500. It is essential to note that the adapter is compatible only with the SX(O), SX Turbo, and SX(O) Turbo variants. While the Verna E trim does not feature a touchscreen unit, the S, SX, SX+, and S(O) Turbo variants come equipped with a factory-installed touchscreen unit capable of supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Hyundai Verna SX+ Features

The SX+ variant is furnished with an array of features including LED headlights and front parking sensors. Additionally, it boasts an 8-speaker Bose sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, and leatherette upholstery, which it inherits from the top-spec SX(O) model.

Hyundai Verna SX+ Powertrain

The Verna SX+ is exclusively powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed IVT, producing 115hp and 143.8Nm of torque. According to the ARAI testing cycle, the Verna 1.5 MPI IVT has a fuel efficiency rating of 19.6 km/l, while the manual version is rated at 18.6 km/l.
