New Jeep Cherokee Design Details

The next-generation Cherokee adopts Jeep’s latest design language, which is also evident in the recently revealed third-generation Compass. The front fascia is characterized by the iconic seven-slot grille, flanked by large rectangular headlights that feature extended sections for the indicators. The front bumper is equipped with considerable black cladding, an air dam, and silver accents on either side.
On the side, the Cherokee sports new alloy wheels, enhanced plastic cladding, and ‘Cherokee’ lettering on the front doors, as well as a blacked-out roof and pillars. Although Jeep has not yet released images of the rear, it is anticipated to include a prominent rectangular light bar similar to that of the latest Compass model.
Interior Features Pending Full Reveal
Jeep appears to be holding back on interior images until the complete unveiling later this year. However, the Cherokee is expected to feature a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a recessed touch bar for climate controls.

Hybrid Setup Confirmed

The new Cherokee will be built on Stellantis’ STLA Large platform, enabling configurations for hybrid, petrol, and all-electric versions. Currently, Jeep has confirmed a hybrid powertrain, although specific details are still under wraps.
Petrol and electric variants are also expected to be included in the Cherokee lineup. The electric version might share its components with the Wagoneer S electric SUV, likely featuring a 100kWh battery and a dual-motor setup. However, it is anticipated that its power output will be lower than the Wagoneer S’s impressive 600hp. The petrol variant of the Cherokee could incorporate a version of Jeep’s 3.0-liter ‘Hurricane’ twin-turbo inline-6 engine, generating up to 548hp and 707Nm of torque in its highest configuration.
