A Preview of the Skoda Vision 7S Design

The Skoda Vision 7S Concept boasts a bold, futuristic exterior design, as is common with concept cars. It features the signature Skoda grille. It is closed off in the typical EV style. Above the grille, lighting elements connect the LED DRLs with the vertically stacked LED headlights. The standout feature is the bumper, which incorporates 7 slats, while the lower section is enhanced with black cladding and a silver skid plate, giving the electric SUV a rugged look.

From the side, the Vision 7S Concept showcases digital side mirrors and a slightly sloping roofline to improve aerodynamics. It rides on 22-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels and features flush door handles, suicide doors for rear passengers, and black body cladding that runs along the length of the vehicle. At the rear, the bumper follows the same 7-slat design as the front, while the T-shaped tail lights add to the concept’s futuristic appearance. The roof is equipped with a sleek, mounted spoiler, and the tailgate features a gloss black trim.

Interior of the Skoda Vision 7S

Inside, the Skoda Vision 7S Concept features a sustainable cabin, finished in a black and green color scheme with orange accents, which are also reflected on the seats. The concept comes with three rows of bucket-style seats, each featuring integrated headrests and orange seat belts. The dashboard is designed with layers, featuring an oval-shaped, two-spoke steering wheel with the ‘Skoda’ logo, a horizontally-oriented driver’s display, and a vertically-oriented touchscreen. Notably, there are no physical buttons on the dashboard, enhancing its clean, modern look.

Beyond the exterior, the Vision 7S concept also introduces a fresh cabin design. The steering wheel and central area are oval-shaped, with no buttons, and the interior has a more streamlined and cleaner look. It also features a large central touchscreen that can be used in either portrait or landscape mode, similar to the setup in BYD models. One of the most interesting features is the child seat, which is positioned facing the middle row, against the direction of travel. Skoda claims this setup provides maximum safety for the child while efficiently filling the space between the seats.

The center console is equipped with three dials to control the air conditioning, volume, and infotainment, along with two wireless phone chargers. It extends to form a center armrest that stretches into the middle row of seats. Interestingly, Skoda has integrated child seat anchorages into the armrest, optimizing space for passengers in the seats.

The vehicle also offers a ‘Relax’ mode, which pushes the driver’s display and touchscreen back, allowing the touchscreen to rotate into a landscape orientation for easy content streaming. However, this feature is only accessible when the vehicle is stationary.
