Tata Motors has been diligently developing the facelift version of the Punch. Camouflaged test mules were first spotted in March 2024, and recent sightings have provided an initial glimpse of the interior. As anticipated, the updated Punch incorporates several features from the Punch EV, signaling substantial technological advancements for this compact SUV.

Interior and Features of the Tata Punch Facelift
Similar to the updates seen in the recently launched Tata Altroz facelift, the Punch facelift showcases a larger 10.25-inch central touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a new two-spoke steering wheel. This is a significant enhancement compared to the existing 7.0-inch touchscreen and semi-digital cluster found in the current Punch.
However, the overall dashboard design retains a familiar layout. Although not clearly visible in the current images, the Punch facelift is also likely to adopt the touch-based HVAC control panel present in Tata’s latest models.
Exterior Design of the Tata Punch Facelift
Focusing on exterior design, the updated Punch will closely resemble the Punch EV. Changes include a redesigned front fascia with slimmer headlights, a new LED DRL signature, updated front and rear bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels. To differentiate it from its EV sibling, the ICE-equipped Punch will not feature the full-width LED band at the front, which is typically found on Tata’s electric models.
Tata Punch Facelift Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the Punch facelift is expected to maintain the 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 86hp and 113Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. Additionally, a CNG version is available, producing 73.4hp and 103Nm of torque, currently offered only with a 5-speed manual gearbox, though an AMT variant is anticipated to join the lineup.
The Punch facelift is expected to make its debut in the latter half of this year. It will continue to compete against rivals such as the Hyundai Exter and Citroen C3.
