1. Uttar Pradesh 

Uttar Pradesh has achieved the leading position in the sales of Electric Association. So far, 13,936 EVs have been removed, which is 20.59% of the total bike EVs in the country. Where people are preferring EVs instead of traditional petrol/diesel vehicles.

2.Karnataka 

Karnataka is a leading state of India in terms of EV adoption and manufacturing. Here 8,171 electric vehicles will be sold in 2024, which is 12.07% of the total EV sales in the country. Karnataka has become a big hub not only for EV adoption but also for EV manufacturing and R&D. The startup ecosystem and government support here are further accelerating EV growth.

3. Tamilnadu

Tamil Nadu is in third place, where 7,960 electric vehicles have been sold, which is 11.76% of total sales. Tamil Nadu is not just a consumer market, but also a major center of EV manufacturing and export. The infrastructure and government support here make Tamil Nadu one of the largest EV production hubs in India.

4. Rajasthan 

In fourth place is Rajasthan, where 6,992 EVs have been sold, which is 10.33% of total sales. Rajasthan is hindering EV adoption not only in metro cities, but also in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The solar power ecosystem and government support here are further accelerating EV growth.

5. Maharashtra 

Maharashtra has sold 6,302 EVs, which is fifth in the country. Maharashtra is one of the leading states in India in terms of EV policies and charging network. The urban demand here and government support is taking the state further in EV adoption.

6. Delhi

5,678 EVs have been sold in the country’s capital Delhi, which is 8.38% of total sales and ranks sixth. Delhi is one of the cities with the most aggressive EV adoption in India. Here, EV sales have been increasing every year due to pollution control, charging infrastructure and government support.

7. Bihar

Bihar has also seen an increase in sales of electric vehicles. Bihar has become one of the emerging EV markets of India. Here the demand for electric scooters, e-rickshaws and three-wheelers is highest. EV adoption is increasing rapidly in the state, especially in cities like Patna, Gaya and Muzaffarpur. Bihar is moving forward rapidly in electric mobility adoption. The government policies here and the increasing understanding of the people are giving further boost to the wave market.

8. Assam

Sales of Electric Associates are increasing in Assam. Assam is set to be Northeast India’s leading EV market in 2024. Here especially the demand for electric scooters, e-rickshaws and electric buses is highest. Big cities like Guwahati, Dibrugarh, and Silchar are leading in EV adoption. Assam is the fastest-growing EV market in Northeast India. Here government policies and electrification in public transport are further boosting EV adoption.

9. Kerala 

Kerala also sees growth in EV sales. Kerala is moving ahead rapidly in EV adoption in 2024. Here the demand for electric scooters, electric cars and electric rickshaws is increasing especially in cities like Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode. Kerala is known as an environmentally conscious state and many people are adopting EV’s. Kerala is rapidly leading the way in EV adoption with its environmentally conscious approach and government incentives. 

10. West Bengal 

Sales of electric vehicles are increasing in West Bengal, Here in cities like Kolkata and Siliguri, the demand for electric scooters, cars and electric rickshaws has increased. The EV market of West Bengal is now growing soon and the Indian government is also supporting this sector. West Bengal is making fast progress in wave adoption, government initiatives and pollution control measures are boosting wave growth.
